Job: Storeroom Attendant
Location: East Peoria, IL 61630
Pay: USD $17.00 / hr
- 2ND SHIFT:
Sat‑Sun and one weekday (varies), 2:00 pm–10:20 pm. Occasional coverage on 3rd shift possible. - Training on first shift Mon‑Fri for the first 3–4 weeks. Hours 6:00 am–2:20 pm or 7:00 am–3:20 pm.
- Temporary to permanent.
- Physical demands: walk up to 4.5 miles daily, lift up to 40 lbs, use ladder up to 8 ft, steel‑toe shoes required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Forklift experience is a plus (certify on the job if needed).
- Warehouse is heated in winter and unair‑conditioned in summer.
- Unload, receive, and put away incoming products, goods, tools, and equipment, checking for damage and discrepancies.
- Sort, label, move and store items according to predetermined sequence; optimize crib space.
- Issue products, goods, tools, and equipment to site employees; maintain accurate records of issued and returned items.
- Enter data into a computerized system to maintain stock records; retrieve information to respond to inquiries and log discrepancies.
- Request requisitions to replenish inventory.
- Assist with inventory level maintenance, perform cycle counts, and prepare reports.
- Inspect and measure tools/equipment for defects, wear, and tear; report damage to supervisors.
- Prepare periodic inventory reports and maintain perpetual inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Deliver tools or equipment to associate work locations.
- Investigate and locate lost or misplaced equipment or safety supplies.
- Repair, service, and lubricate tools and equipment as needed.
- Perform other related duties as requested.
- Loading, unloading, picking, packing, or moving goods in a warehouse environment; forklift or cherry picker experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work orders, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency; preferred technical skills include MS Office, Vista, Control, SX.e, Prophet 21.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios, percentages).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Team player, self‑motivated, and detail oriented with a safety mindset.
- High school diploma or equivalent plus at least 3 months of relevant experience and/or training.
