Overview
Fed Ex Trade Networks manages the flow of goods and information across a customer's global supply chain utilizing air/ocean/ground transportation, customs brokerage services, and dedicated warehousing/distribution centers.
Responsibilities- Ensure customer requirements are met and take corrective actions when deviations occur.
- Interact with Customer Service, Product, and Global Service Centers as required.
- Prepare, control, update, and distribute all required documents regarding consolidation and deconsolidation of freight at gateway level in compliance with regulations and internal procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all operational procedures and regulations.
- Schedule and monitor the handling of incoming and outgoing consolidations and shipments, and disposition of consolidations.
- Follow up with airlines to ensure consolidations fly as booked.
- Assist the gateway supervisor in the distribution of work.
- Follow up with feeder stations to ensure timeliness of delivery and compliance with regulations.
- Act as gateway subject matter expert and train employees on gateway procedures.
- Ensure updated consolidation schedules are maintained.
- Maximize margin through effective Unit Load Device (ULD) build‑up.
- Ensure continuous process improvement to increase efficiencies, reduce waste, and improve performance for customers.
- Process air export consolidations.
- Work closely with other departments/gateways to deliver a high level of service to customers.
- Liaise with all related vendors to ensure the highest level of service is achieved.
- Resolve billing issues between Fed Ex Trade Networks and airline partners.
- Negotiate spot rates with airline partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three (3) years of related experience.
- Knowledge of U.S. Export Regulations, ports, and world geography.
- Experience with and usage of Official Airline Guide (OAG) and the Air Cargo Tariff (TACT) Act.
- Working knowledge of gateway/warehouse operations.
- Certified to process Dangerous Goods shipments for Air Transport.
- Strong analytical and math skills.
- Experience in similar operational management in freight forwarding or logistics.
- Prior exposure to consolidation and deconsolidation processes.

- Work schedule:
Onsite, Monday–Friday 8 AM–5 PM.
