Bus Monitor

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Bus Monitor to join our elite team in Fulton County, GA. As a key member, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

Fulton County, GA

• Starting pay $14.54 per hour, progressing to $18.92 per hour over 3 years.
• Vacation: 1 week to 6 weeks per year, based on seniority.
• Paid Sick Leave: 4.66 hours monthly (7 days annually) for full‑time employees.

• Know the route and remain alert to monitor the welfare of passengers while on the route; keep order on the bus.
• Communicate behavior problems and conditions of various stops with the driver and cooperate with school personnel, parents, and students.
• Assist in pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the bus using Zonar technology, including child checks.
• Assist students in the loading and unloading process.
• Attend all safety and training meetings.
• Conduct emergency evacuation from the bus, including use of the emergency door.
• Open and close service doors and move up and down steps multiple times daily.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions—100% of the job is performed outside, alone, in remote locations.
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances on possibly sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
• Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to pick up or access equipment stored at ground level.
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
