Job Summary
Fed Ex Trade Networks manages the flow of goods and information across a customer's global supply chain utilizing air/ocean/ground transportation, customs brokerage services, and dedicated warehousing/distribution centers. This position is responsible for ensuring customer requirements are met and takes corrective actions in case of deviations from customer requirements. It interacts with Customer Service, Product, and Global Service Centers, as required. It prepares, controls, updates and distributes all required documents regarding consolidation and deconsolidation of freight at gateway level, complying with regulations and internal procedures.
Responsibilities- Ensures compliance with all operational procedures and regulations.
- Schedules and monitors handling of incoming and outgoing consolidations and shipments, and disposition of consolidations.
- Ensures follow up with airlines to ensure consolidations fly as booked.
- Assists gateway supervisor in distribution of work.
- Follows up with feeder stations to ensure timeliness of delivery and compliance with regulations.
- Acts as gateway subject matter expert and trains employees on gateway procedures.
- Ensures updated consolidation schedules are updated.
- Maximizes margin through effective Unit Load Device (ULD) build-up.
- Ensures continuous process improvement to increase efficiencies, reduce waste and improve performance to customers.
- Processes air export consolidations.
- Works closely with other departments/gateways to deliver a high level of service to customers.
- Liaison with all related vendors to ensure highest level of service is achieved.
- Resolves billing issues between Fed Ex Trade Networks and airline partners.
- Negotiates spot rates with airline partners.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma/equivalent. Three (3) related years of experience required.
- Knowledge of US Export Regulations, ports and world geography.
- Experience with and usage of Official Airline Guide (OAG) and The Air Cargo Tariff (TACT) Act.
- Working knowledge of gateway/warehouse operations.
- Certified to process Dangerous Goods shipments for Air Transport.
- Strong analytical/math skills.

Compensation & BenefitsPay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. The starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location and other job‑related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential.

Pay: starting USD hourly.
Additional Details: Onsite Mon‑Fri 8AM‑5PM.
