Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Personal Organizer to provide direct organizational support to a busy business owner (Tom Lopatosky, President of LOPCO Contracting) and help bring structure, consistency, and efficiency to his day-to-day personal and professional environment.

This position is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys creating order, developing systems, keeping track of details, and helping another person stay organized. The Person al Organizer will work closely with Tom to organize a variety of physical spaces, paperwork, personal items, schedules, priorities, and other areas that need ongoing structure and attention.

The right person will be trustworthy, adaptable, self-directed, and comfortable stepping into situations that may need to be organized from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
  • In a respectful way, organize and maintain personal and professional spaces, including offices, work areas, storage areas, files, paperwork, and personal belongings.
  • Create practical organizational systems that are easy to maintain.
  • Sort, categorize, label, file, and properly store documents and physical items.
  • Help identify items that should be kept, relocated, donated, discarded, or otherwise addressed.
  • Maintain organization after initial projects are completed and routinely reset spaces as needed.
  • Assist with keeping track of important paperwork, documents, receipts, records, and miscellaneous personal or business materials.
  • Help prioritize and organize outstanding tasks, projects, and miscellaneous responsibilities.
  • Create lists, reminders, checklists, or simple tracking systems when helpful.
  • Coordinate organization of supplies and ensure frequently used items are stocked and easily accessible.
  • Assist with occasional errands, returns, pickups, drop-offs, or organization-related purchases.
  • Help prepare spaces or materials for meetings, projects, travel, events, or other activities.
  • Identify areas where better organization or systems could save time and proactively recommend solutions.
  • Handle personal information, documents, and belongings with a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Complete miscellaneous organizational and personal-assistance tasks as needed.
What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Is exceptionally organized and naturally notices when something is out of place.
  • Enjoys turning clutter or disorganization into simple, functional systems.
  • Is dependable, punctual, and consistent.
  • Can work independently without needing constant direction.
  • Has strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Is comfortable working directly with a business owner and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Has good judgment and knows when to take initiative versus when to ask a question.
  • Is patient, personable, and comfortable working closely with someone on personal organizational needs.
  • Can maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Is comfortable performing a wide variety of tasks rather than working from the same routine every day.
Preferred Experience

Previous experience in one or more of the following areas is helpful but not required:

  • Professional organizing
  • Personal assistance
  • Executive assistance
  • Administrative support
  • Household management
  • Office organization
  • Project coordination

More important than a specific background is having the right personality: organized, proactive, trustworthy, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership of keeping things in order.

Physical Requirements

This role may involve periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, sorting, moving boxes or supplies, and organizing storage spaces. Candidates should be comfortable performing light physical organizational work as needed.

Position Style

This is a hands-on position. Some days may involve organizing paperwork or creating a better filing system, while others may involve reorganizing an office, sorting personal belongings, running an errand, creating a task list, or helping Tom get several competing priorities back under control.

Compensation : $20/hr

Position Type:
Full Time or Part Time in-person

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, hour range is negotiable

The goal of this position is simple: make Tom's life more organized, efficient, and easier to manage!
