Lower Spanish Teacher - Part time

Position Overview

Providence Country Day School, an independent school serving students in grades PK-12, seeks a part‑time Spanish teacher for the Lower School. The teacher will provide weekly Spanish classes to PK‑4 students and may teach other levels as required. The department focuses on listening, speaking, reading, writing, and cultural exposure.

• Deliver weekly Spanish classes to PK‑4 students.
• Design and implement lesson plans across listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
• Incorporate cultural content to foster understanding of customs, beliefs, and perspectives.
• Collaborate with the faculty team to support student learning and professional development.
• Use technology to support language instruction.

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher).
• Experience or background in project‑based learning and differentiated instruction preferred.
• Experience teaching Spanish to early‑grade students (PK‑4).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a faculty team.
