Job Overview
Providence Country Day School, an independent school serving students in grades PK-12, seeks a dynamic, versatile educator who will serve as a part-time Spanish teacher in the Lower School. PCD offers Spanish courses from Pre-K through the Advanced Placement (AP) level in the Upper School. The ideal candidate will be qualified to teach weekly Spanish classes to our PK-4 students, and we are willing to provide professional development for interested candidates.
Responsibilities- Teach weekly Spanish classes to PK-4 students.
- Develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, and expose students to historic and modern cultures.
- Collaborate with faculty and serve as an integral part of students’ lives.
- Plan and implement project‑based learning and differentiated instruction as desired.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher).
- Qualified to teach a range of Spanish levels.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in the classroom and workplace.
- Experience with project‑based learning and differentiated instruction is desired.
