The East Providence School Department is seeking a qualified and dedicated long-term substitute Kindergarten Teacher to begin in March and continue through the end of the school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction in a kindergarten classroom and maintaining continuity of learning in alignment with district curriculum and expectations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with district and state standards;

creating a positive, safe, and structured classroom environment; implementing lesson plans and classroom routines; assessing student progress and communicating effectively with school staff; collaborating with grade-level colleagues, support staff, and administration; upholding all district policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Must hold a valid Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) certification in Elementary Education (Kindergarten–Grade
6). Prior experience teaching kindergarten is preferred. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Federal Background Check (BCI).

Terms of Employment:
This is a long-term substitute position beginning in March and continuing through the end of the school year, in accordance with East Providence School Department policies. Position Type:
Full-time.
