Long term Substitute Grade 4

Kindergarten Teacher

The East Providence School Department is seeking a qualified and dedicated long-term substitute kindergarten teacher to begin in March and continue through the end of the school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction in a kindergarten classroom and maintaining continuity of learning in alignment with district curriculum and expectations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with district and state standards
• Creating a positive, safe, and structured classroom environment
• Implementing lesson plans and classroom routines
• Assessing student progress and communicating effectively with school staff
• Collaborating with grade-level colleagues, support staff, and administration
• Upholding all district policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) certification in Elementary Education (Kindergarten–Grade
  6)
• Prior experience teaching kindergarten is preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Federal Background Check (BCI)

Terms of employment:
This is a long-term substitute position beginning in March and continuing through the end of the school year, in accordance with East Providence School Department policies.
