Toddler Teacher

Job Description

Trailside Daycare Inc. is seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Toddler Teacher to join our team. This role supports young children's growth through developmentally appropriate practice, nurturing relationships, and a joyful, engaging classroom environment.

• Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom where children feel supported and confident.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Observe, document, and communicate children's progress with families and the administrative team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging learning environment aligned with Trailside's values and Rhode Island licensing standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent routines, positive guidance, and high-quality care.
• Build strong partnerships with families through warm, professional daily communication.

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 2 years of experience working in a childcare or early learning setting
• Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practice
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and a team-centered mindset
• Ability to meet all Rhode Island DHS licensing requirements for childcare staff
• Must be able to work full-time 40 hours
