General Production Worker
This role supports production operations in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing facility. You will work with materials and chemicals, perform heavy lifting, and assist with key production processes such as mixing, batching, and material preparation. The position requires a reliable, hard-working individual who can follow safety protocols, maintain quality standards, and contribute to a clean, organized work area.
Responsibilities- Handle and move raw materials and finished products throughout the facility in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform heavy lifting, consistently handling loads of 50 pounds or more as part of daily tasks.
- Assist with production processes including mixing, batching, and preparing materials according to established procedures.
- Work with and around chemicals and industrial solutions while following all safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
- Follow detailed work instructions, safety protocols, and quality standards to support consistent, accurate production.
- Support machine operators and the broader production team with day-to-day operational needs.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards to maintain a safe and efficient production environment.
- Perform basic measuring, weighing, and counting of materials to ensure proper batch and production quantities.
- Participate in inspection and quality checks to help maintain high standards for finished products.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and write in English to understand work instructions, safety procedures, and production documentation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently in a very physical work environment.
- Strong math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, and work with decimals for measuring, weighing, and batching materials.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, physically demanding manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail, especially for quality control and batch/production work.
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions and adhere to safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Comfort working with chemicals and industrial solutions while following proper handling practices.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in manufacturing or production settings is preferred.
- Experience in batch mixing or chemical handling is an advantage.
- Experience with production, inspection, and weighing processes is beneficial.

Work Environment
The role is based in an industrial manufacturing facility specializing in precious metals for plating, involving regular exposure to chemical processes and associated odors. Work is performed on a first-shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The environment is fast-paced, highly physical, and focused on safety, cleanliness, and adherence to process controls, with appropriate personal protective equipment provided and required.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Providence, RI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
