Production Associate I – Tip Assembly (2nd Shift)
Pay Rate: $17.00/hour + $1.25/hour shift differential
Location: East Providence, RI
Duration: Temp-to-Perm
Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM
Job Summary
A manufacturing company in East Providence is seeking detail-oriented Production Associates to perform hands-on and semi-automated assembly tasks involving small components. Responsibilities include bending, cutting, gluing, UV curing, and inspecting finished products.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, is comfortable performing repetitive tasks, and has a strong eye for detail. Training will be provided on specialized equipment and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assemble small components by placing parts into fixtures and applying adhesives as required.
- Perform secondary assembly operations including bending, cutting, and securing components.
- Operate semi-automated assembly equipment following established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Inspect finished products using gauges and measurement tools to ensure quality standards are met.
- Assist with sorting and quality inspection activities, including 100% inspection when required.
- Identify and separate defective or nonconforming materials.
- Complete production quantities according to work orders and established deadlines.
- Weigh parts and accurately record counts and production information.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Cross-train on additional equipment, processes, or department responsibilities as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience is helpful but not required.
- Willingness and ability to learn semi-automated equipment and new processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with small components.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and computer skills.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English for training, safety, and production purposes.
- Reliable, motivated, and willing to work as part of a team.
