RN – Behavioral Health Urgent Care
East Providence
12-hour days and 12-hour nights both available
36 hours/week | Every other weekend
- RI or compact RN license
- 1+ year behavioral health experience required
- BLS required, ACLS preferred
- Familiarity with behavioral health and/or addiction treatment
- Experience using COWS (Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale)
- Ability to assess and monitor withdrawal symptoms
Behavioral Health Urgent Care RN responsible for triaging walk-in patients and determining appropriate level of care:
- Acute psychosis – triage and manage medically within facility
- Acute and requires transfer out
- Stable for evaluation and treatment by licensed physician onsite
Primary focus is psychiatric and substance use population. Candidates must be comfortable working with patients experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms. Strong assessment skills required. Clinical support staff onsite at all times.
