Sales Associate - 8168 East Providence

We are looking for part‑time Sales Associates who are passionate about delivering outstanding customer service while driving strong sales.

• Greet and assist customers promptly, handling multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing them to merchandise, and offering recommendations.
• Engage in suggestive selling while staying informed on product availability.
• Promote store events and promotions to enhance the shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns, offering alternative solutions and turning returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management regarding merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve store and company objectives.

• At least 16 years old.
• Available to work a flexible schedule.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers, hand‑held, and mobile devices.
• Good communicator with the ability to engage customers.
• Ability to handle customer interactions and concerns courteously and professionally.
• Basic information‑gathering skills for problem solving.
• Willingness to learn procedural knowledge through on‑the‑job training.

• Operate cash register frequently.
• Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise at heights of 5–10 feet.
• Ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
• Kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor.
• Communicate accurate information to customers, managers, and coworkers.
• Assist customers across the sales floor and from/to the stock room.
• Work a flexible schedule that may include day, evening, weekends, overnight shifts, and travel.
• Read and follow email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, schedules, and procedures.
• Remain in a stationary, upright position 80% of the time.

Position Type: Hourly

Starting Pay: $16.00
