Bus Driver

Providence Country Day School is seeking an experienced part‑time bus driver for our PM Bus Route to/from the East Side of Providence.

• Duties include driving a small 14 passenger from East Providence to the East Side of Providence. Each run is approximately 2 hours.
• PM Bus Route leaves PCD at 5:45pm.
• The Bus Stop is the intersection of President & Slater in the East Side of Providence.
• Picks up and discharges students at authorized school and bus stop locations.
• Maintains the overall cleanliness of the bus and re‑fills the bus with gas when needed on the school gas card.
• Establishes a progressive discipline and reward plan that is consistent with the school’s disciplinary objectives.
• Reports any or all defects and failures of the bus to the Facilities Manager in a timely manner.
• Reports any accidents to the Facilities Manager and Director of Finance and Operations in a timely manner.
• Completes personal timecard and required reports, including reports required in the event of an accident or incident aboard the school bus.
• The candidate must have a clean driver's record and be at least 25 years of age.
• This position requires a background check.
• This is a school‑year position for five days a week.
• Additional hours may be available for field trips and school sports.
• Hourly Rate - $20-$24/hour based on experience.
