Non‑faculty and classified employee coaches must complete the NFHS “Fundamentals of Coaching” and “First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches” courses before assuming the position. Coaches who have successfully completed the ASEP Coaches Education Course prior to 15 May 2013 are not required to take the NFHS courses.

• Verify and keep State Law, concussion, and sudden cardiac arrest certificates on file annually.
• Maintain TSSAA/TMSAA health and safety policies on file.
• Maintain copies of completed “Fundamentals of Coaching” and “First Aid, Health & Safety” courses.
• Complete NFHS Heat Illness Prevention course and keep a copy of the certificate annually.
• Complete NFHS COVID‑19 Course and keep a copy of the certificate.
