Customer Service Rep (05481) – 4155 Ringgold Rd Job Description
Full‑time Customer Service Representative will perform a variety of duties including managing customer orders, maintaining a clean and organized store, and ensuring high customer satisfaction at Domino's Pizza.
Responsibilities- Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
- Attend orientation and on‑the‑job training.
- Communicate verbally and in writing with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
- Perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) to calculate orders and provide correct monetary change.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Maintain motor coordination and precision while handling orders and food items.
Orientation and training will be provided on the job.
Communication SkillsAbility to comprehend and give correct written instructions; communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders.
Essential Functions / Skills- Basic mathematics skills (may use calculator).
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately perform precise movements.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
- In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to 90°F and above in some work areas.
- Sudden changes in temperature inside the work area and while outside.
- Fumes from food odors.
- Exposure to cornmeal dust.
- Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler.
- Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500°F or higher.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
- Tremendous hearing for telephonic communication.
- Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks.
- Depth perception.
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
- Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions.
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Most tasks performed from a standing position; walking surfaces include ceramic tile bricks with linoleum.
- Work surface heights between 36 and 48 inches.
- Paperwork normally completed in an office at a desk or table.
- Bulk product deliveries twice a week or more, unloaded with a hand truck.
- Cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds and dimensions up to 3 ft × 1.5 ft.
- Cases stacked on shelves up to 72 inches high.
- Large cans, weighing 3 lb 7 oz, carried from workstation to storage shelves.
- Pizza sauce weighing 30 lb carried from storage to front of store.
- Trays of pizza dough carried three at a time over short distances, approximately 12 lb per tray.
- Move trays on dollies; a stack of trays per dolly 24–30 and requires force up to 7.5 lb to push; trays may also be pulled.
- Navigate stairs or climb a ladder infrequently for maintenance tasks.
- Forward bending at waist necessary at pizza assembly station; duration 30–45 s per instance, repeated throughout day.
- Forward bending at front counter and while stocking ingredients.
- Occasional stocking shelves and cleaning low areas.
- Reach continuously: up, down, forward.
- Reach above 72 in to operate oven controls, change sign prices, and lift objects from shelves.
- Reach down for tasks such as scooping cornmeal, washing dishes.
- Forward reach for obtaining toppings, cleaning work surfaces, answering phones.
- Eye‑hand coordination essential; continuous hand use throughout day.
- Handling pizza dough requires forceful forearm and wrist use.
- Manipulate pizza peel, rolling cutter, and cardboard pizza boxes.
- Pinching required in pizza box assembly.
- Grasp cans, phones, pizza cutter, peel, boxes.
- Pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, pizza peel.
