Who You Are:

The Analyst, Customs and Trade Compliance – North America supports the execution, monitoring, and continuous improvement of customs and trade compliance activities for U.S. and Canada operations across all Capri brands. The role combines analytical responsibilities, customs and trade compliance support, data review, and cross-functional coordination, with increasing exposure to trade compliance governance, FTZ operations, audit readiness, and duty optimization initiatives.

What You’ll Do:
  • Support day-to-day U.S. and Canada customs compliance activities, including coordination with appointed customs brokers and freight forwarders.
  • Analyze customs entry data to validate accuracy of tariff classification, customs valuation, country of origin, preferential claims, duties, taxes, and fees.
  • Assist in post-entry corrections, reconciliation activities, and duty variance analysis in collaboration with Finance and external brokers.
  • Support Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations, including inventory analysis, admission and removal validation, zone-to-zone transfers, reconciliations, and audit support.
  • Generate, analyze, and maintain duty liability, compliance, and performance reports using trade systems and company data tools.
  • Support duty mitigation and savings programs, including Free Trade Agreements, First Sale for Export, and related initiatives.
  • Assist with monitoring changes in customs and trade regulations, including CTPAT requirements, internal control testing, and preparation for internal or external compliance audits.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Logistics, Sourcing, IT, and global trade compliance teams to support a compliant supply chain.
  • Maintain documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and support the development of internal compliance training materials.
You’ll Need to Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Trade, Business, Finance, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Three to six years of experience in customs compliance, trade compliance, global trade operations, or related analytical roles.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and processes; familiarity with Canadian customs regulations is desirable.
  • Experience working directly with customs brokers, logistics service providers, and trade compliance or customs management systems.
  • Experience working with customs‑related government agencies (Fish and Wildlife, CPSC, etc.) to support permit and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with trade data analysis is required.
  • Professional certification such as U.S. Customs Broker License, Certified Customs Specialist (CCS)
    -or similar- is strongly preferred.
