FSQA Compliance Technician — Prepared Deli Foods

A day in the life

It’s 4:00 AM and you’re the first set of eyes on our lines. You walk the floor to complete pre-operational inspections, confirm sanitation sign-offs, and review environmental monitoring results before a single ingredient moves. As production ramps up, you’re at the ready—spot‑checking in‑process quality, validating critical control points, and coaching Associates on inspection techniques and documentation. By the time finished goods are sealed, you’ve evaluated product against specifications and recorded findings with precision.

If something’s off, you flag it, help dig into root causes, and drive corrective actions that protect our “Grandma Quality” promise and our enterprise standards.

As our Food Safety & Quality Technician, you’ll be a hands‑on guardian of food safety and quality on the production floor. You’ll support the Supervisor by training team members, maintaining meticulous FSQA records, and getting us ready for audits.

• Run pre‑op inspections, in‑process checks, and evaluate finished product quality.
• Verify sanitation completion and review environmental monitoring outcomes.
• Keep accurate FSQA documentation and assist with audit preparation.
• Train Associates on inspection methods and proper recordkeeping.
• Escalate deviations and collaborate on root cause analysis and corrective actions.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical food safety training preferred.
• 2+ years of FSQA/QA experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and basic microbiology.
• Comfort with FDA and USDA regulatory expectations.

• Stand, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Tolerate cold and hot production areas and wear PPE at all times.
