Project Specialist/Teacher II (AP27-003)
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) invites applications for the position of Project Specialist/Teacher II. SIUE is a metropolitan university committed to advancing social and economic mobility, providing students with a comprehensive education and rich research opportunities.
Responsibilities- Prepare developmentally appropriate lesson plans, including instruction during family‑style dining.
- Implement the adopted curriculum, manage classroom behavior, and individualize child instruction.
- Conduct screenings and assessments, maintain records, schedule and complete home visits/parent‑teacher conferences.
- Obtain and manage child outcome data.
- Tier 1: Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education.
- Tier 2: Associate degree in Early Childhood Education plus coursework equivalent to a major and at least two years of experience teaching infants, toddlers, or preschool‑aged children; currently enrolled in a qualifying, degree‑seeking baccalaureate program.
Teacher I (Tier I, Bachelor or higher):
- 0 Years: $3,578.01
- 1–2 Years: $3,756.91
- 2–4 Years: $3,961.51
- 4+ Years: $4,254.66
- 5+ Years: $4,571.62
Teacher II (Tier II, Associate or higher with 60 credits/6 hrs in Early Childhood Education):
- 0 Years: $3,099.43
- 1–2 Years: $3,199.41
- Complete employment history with start and end dates and at least three professional references.
- Resume and/or cover letter (highlights qualifications and experience).
- Describe alignment of credentials and experience with the specified minimum requirements.
- Submit by the closing date no later than 11:59 p.m. CST.
