Mascot Coordinator & Performer

Position Summary

The Gateway Grizzlies are seeking a high-energy, outgoing individual to serve as Izzy, the official team mascot. This role is responsible for bringing the Grizzlies brand to life through game-day entertainment, community engagement, and public appearances. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, physically active, creative, and comfortable being the face of the organization in a wide variety of settings. This is a part time/seasonal position from April to September.

Position Responsibilities

• Perform as Izzy at all Grizzlies home games, creating energy and engaging fans of all ages.
• Adhere to mascot performance guidelines, safety protocols, and character standards.
• Coordinate mascot appearances, including handlers and transportation.
• Maintain the mascot suit(s), including basic care, cleanliness, and reporting any repair needs.
• Interact with fans in a fun, professional, and family-friendly manner

Experience

• Prior mascot, performance, acting, dance, or entertainment experience preferred (but not required).
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Comfortable performing in front of large crowds and engaging directly with the public, especially children.
• Strong non-verbal communication and improvisational skills.
• Must be able to wear a mascot costume in various weather conditions.
• Must consent to and pass a background check.

Compensation

• Starts at $20/hour
