Job Description Summary
The Beverage Service Technician maintains coffee machines, cappuccino dispensers, fountain machines, Froster machines, and iced coffee dispensers. The technician responds to live work orders for this equipment within a specific geographical territory, performs preventive maintenance to ensure longevity of company beverage assets, and reduces repair costs in-house. This position is a Circle K designated safety‑sensitive position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIESPay Rate: $20–24/hr
The position includes, but is not limited to, the following essential job duties, responsibilities, and requirements:
- Helps team accomplish daily production, quality, and safety requirements.
- Follows safety guidelines and job requirements in day‑to‑day operations.
- Receives and completes work orders via e‑mail.
- Attends and participates in scheduled training and safety classes.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as required.
- Promotes a positive and safe work environment for the entire team.
- Follows state, federal, and company guidelines.
- Uses a multimeter and other diagnostic tools to diagnose issues on hot and cold beverage equipment and consults service manuals for cost‑effective repairs.
- Completes all assigned work and associated paperwork.
- Follows in‑house ticketing and work‑tracking procedures.
- Communicates professionally with customers at all levels and has a strong desire to provide excellent customer service.
- Provides equipment training as needed to ensure quality beverage delivery to customers.
- Effectively maintains service vehicle and inventory to company standards.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2–5 years’ experience with hot beverage dispensing equipment is preferred but not required.
- Basic computer/smartphone skills and ownership of a smartphone.
- Valid driver’s license and insurable as a driver.
- Ability to travel to stores and occasionally out of town.
- Ability to work alone.
- Lift and/or carry up to 80 lbs from the ground to overhead.
- Push and pull with arms up to a force of 30 lbs.
- Ability to crouch, stoop, squat, kneel, bend/twist at the waist, and reach, grasp, or manipulate objects.
- Carry, erect, and climb ladders.
- Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
- Exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures.
- Work environment is usually moderately noisy.
- Lighting includes natural light from outside as well as fluorescent and LED lighting.
- Work requires minimal direction and periodic supervision.
