Job Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN) manages and coordinates the nursing care activities during the client's hospitalization in accordance with organization policies and procedures. This includes assessment, diagnosis, planning and establishing outcomes, implementation, and evaluation. The RN directs and is responsible for other personnel involved in client care and maintains professional accountability for all nursing care provided to clients in the organization. The role requires working with clients 18 years of age and older.

Responsibilities:

• Provides appropriate nursing care by planning, organizing, and directing the nursing functions of clients on the unit.
• Makes nursing assignments appropriate to the skill level of employees.
• Prepares, administers, and records medications in accordance with the policy.
• Coordinates and provides emergency care as needed.
• Complies with all infection control policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Current Illinois license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Demonstrates clinical competence; assumes responsibility for own continued personal and professional growth.
• CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention With Advanced Physical Skills (APS) is required for this role.
