American Equipment HR LLC (AmQuip Crane Rental) seeks an experienced Maintenance Crane Service Technician to maintain and repair mobile and overhead cranes for construction and industrial clients. In this field role, you'll perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and safety inspections, focusing on hydraulic, mechanical, and basic electrical systems. You'll travel to customer sites, uphold strict safety standards, and collaborate with a professional, team-oriented crew.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mobile and overhead cranes and lifting equipment at customer sites and company yards
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, load testing, and safety inspections per OSHA and manufacturer standards
  • Diagnose hydraulic, mechanical, structural, and basic electrical issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals
  • Document all service work, parts used, test results, and safety checks in service reports and digital systems
  • Collaborate with dispatch, project managers, and operators to schedule repairs and minimize equipment downtime
  • Maintain tools, service truck, and test equipment in safe, reliable condition
  • Follow all company, client, and regulatory safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and fall protection
  • Support crane commissioning, setup, and teardown on complex construction and industrial projects
