Reconstruction Estimator Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Reconstruction Estimator to develop accurate repair and reconstruction estimates for residential and commercial property damage projects. This role is responsible for inspecting damaged properties, preparing detailed scopes of work, collaborating with insurance adjusters, and supporting the successful transition of projects from estimating to reconstruction. The ideal candidate has strong experience with insurance restoration estimating, proficiency in industry-standard estimating software, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Conduct site inspections of residential and commercial properties to assess damage.
• Document property conditions through measurements, photographs, and detailed field notes.
• Prepare accurate reconstruction estimates using industry-standard estimating software.
• Develop detailed scopes of work for structural repairs, roofing, drywall, flooring, finishes, and other reconstruction activities.
• Determine labor, material, equipment, and project time requirements.
• Collaborate with insurance adjusters to review estimates, pricing, scope changes, and project approvals.
• Prepare and manage estimate revisions and supplemental estimates as additional damages or scope changes are identified.
• Support project handoff to production and reconstruction teams by providing complete and accurate project documentation.
• Maintain organized project records, estimate documentation, and supporting files.
• Ensure estimates comply with insurance carrier guidelines and industry best practices.
• Communicate effectively with property owners, contractors, adjusters, and internal project teams throughout the estimating process.
• Assist with process improvements to enhance estimating accuracy and operational efficiency.

• Experience in construction estimating, restoration estimating, or insurance property damage reconstruction.
• Advanced proficiency with Xactimate, Symbility, and other insurance estimating platforms.
• Strong understanding of insurance claims processes and property restoration workflows.
• Ability to accurately scope residential and commercial reconstruction projects.
• Experience preparing supplemental estimates and negotiating scope revisions with insurance carriers.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and repair techniques.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based software applications.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

• Experience working with Third-Party Administrator (TPA) programs.
• Knowledge of insurance carrier estimating guidelines and review procedures.
• Experience with residential and commercial insurance restoration projects involving fire, water, storm, mold, or other property damage.
• Background in general contracting, construction management, or restoration services.
