Working under the direction of the Janitorial Program Supervisor, the Custodian cleans and services office areas, public entrance ways, carpets, tile floors, elevators/stairwells if applicable, and restrooms in a safe, efficient manner.

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Six (6) months of custodial experience is preferred.

• Must be cleared according to Act 169 in areas required.
• Needs to be able to work a flexible schedule.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills are desired.
• Will become competent in areas designated by program policies.
• Will adhere to established company and program policies and procedures related to safety and infection control.

Moderate work: duties require exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally (approx 10‑33% of shift), up to 10 lbs. of force frequently (approx 33‑66% of the time), and a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, and move objects. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, etc., for an eight‑hour shift while operating buffing machine, wet vacuum, shampooer, etc.,

is required. Must be able to travel to various allied facilities as required.

• Occasional exposure to blood spills.
• Occasional exposure to communicable diseases and body substances.
• Occasional exposure to various chemicals and cleaning agents.

Normally within an office environment or healthcare facility. Occasional ground maintenance may be required.
