Job Overview
The ideal fit for this position would be an energetic, outgoing, people-oriented and self-motivated candidate with strong verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment maintaining high level of customer focus.
Responsibilities- Greet every customer in a quick and courteous manner, providing a pleasant shopping experience and responding to inquiries timely.
- Handle all customer complaints according to company policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain product knowledge and provide customers with product recommendations.
- Process customer sales accurately and efficiently with all point-of-sale equipment in compliance with company policies.
- Perform till balancing as per company procedures at the start and end of each shift; maintain cash drawer levels.
- Receive and stock all merchandise per company policy, lift up to 50 pounds following proper procedures, keep stock faced up, clean, and presentable.
- Apply the FIFO system when receiving or stocking any product; remove and record damaged/out-of-date stock in quarantine area.
- Follow portion control and quantities of preparation to minimize loss.
- Maintain full control of the store and contents using loss prevention techniques.
- Secure premises at end of day closure.
- Maintain high standard of cleanliness as per Onvo’s brand sanitary standards, including sweeping, mopping floors, cleaning walls, counters, tables, service equipment, trash removal, restrooms, and parking lot.
- Work effectively with others, assist new associates, communicate issues to GM timely.
- Perform all duties safely, comply with safety policies, use materials handling procedures and equipment, report unsafe practices.
- Physically capable of standing for long hours.
