Pipkin Inc. is seeking a motivated Project Manager / Estimator with 3+ years of heavy civil construction or engineering experience who wants to take ownership of projects from bid through completion and grow into a long-term leadership role within our company.

Base compensation $110,000-$160,000 DOE, Vehicle Allowance, Annual Bonus Potential, Benefits Package including medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k), paid sick leave.
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Project Manager / Estimator to lead projects from preconstruction through completion. The ideal candidate enjoys both estimating and project management and wants to take ownership of challenging infrastructure projects.
This position offers the opportunity to work directly with company leadership while managing projects that have a visible impact on communities and natural resources throughout Washington.
Primary ResponsibilitiesEstimating & Preconstruction
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed estimates
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Identify project risks and develop bid strategies
- Prepare proposals, schedules, and work plans
- Participate in bid reviews and estimate presentations
Project Management
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and financial performance
- Negotiate and administer subcontract agreements and purchase orders
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress billings
- Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel
- Monitor project productivity, quality, safety, and risk
- Lead project meetings and client communications
- Support project closeout and final documentation
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years (5+ years preferred) of heavy civil construction, engineering, estimating, or project management experience
- Experience with earthwork, underground utilities, sitework, environmental restoration, dam/water resource projects, and public works contracting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, and project controls
- Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel to project sites throughout Washington as needed.
- Ability to work in both office and construction site environments, including walking on uneven terrain, climbing ladders or slopes, and performing site inspections in varying weather conditions.
