N C Power Systems is looking for a Power Generation Sales Representative based in Central Washington. This is a technical, consultative sales role focused on helping customers identify, configure, quote, and purchase Caterpillar standby and prime power solutions, including large‑capacity generators and related emergency power equipment.
ResponsibilitiesSell emergency and prime power solutions to end users, electrical contractors, and organizations that depend on reliable power. Spend time in the field meeting customers, visiting job sites, understanding project requirements, and identifying how to support the customer’s power generation needs. Develop accurate, complete, and competitive proposals.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and contractors
- Visit job sites and analyze power needs
- Develop proposals, including Caterpillar products, third‑party components, labor, logistics, delivery, and commissioning
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal technical teams
- Use CRM tools to maintain account, project, and opportunity information
- Deliver presentations and training to customers
- Stay current on product offerings, code requirements, and market trends
- Strong relationship‑building and communication skills
- Ability to travel to customer sites
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Experience with technical sales or engineering in power, industrial equipment, or related fields
- Comfort learning technical products, systems, and customer applications
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Experience using CRM and proposal/quoting tools
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience selling generators, power systems, or other technical solutions
- Knowledge of standby and prime power, transfer switches, and related equipment
- Familiarity with project specifications, drawings, and bids
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, business, or related field
- Prior experience in a technical sales or engineering role
Based in Wenatchee, WA with frequent travel to customer locations across Central Washington territory. Full‑time role with occasional evenings or weekends.
Benefits- On target commission potential $75,000 to $100,000 for first year
