Job Description
The East Windsor Public Schools, with strong support from the East Windsor Board of Education, is led by an ambitious and entrepreneurial superintendent who has built a dynamic leadership team invested in seeing the community's public schools help every child find their pathway to success in school and in life. East Windsor Public Schools is seeking a highly qualified full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant for the high school (Sept-Nov) and elementary level (PK‑4).
The position starts on August 24, 2026 and is located initially at East Windsor High School, then for the remainder of the school year at Broad Brook Elementary School.
- Provide IEP services.
- Submit IEP progress reports.
- Present at PPT meetings.
- Work under the supervision of two Speech Pathologists.
- Meet mandated timelines and collaborate with a team to support student success.
- BA in Communications Disorders.
- Bachelor degree preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles.
- Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis and formulation of action plans.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.
- Ability to use computer network systems and software applications as needed.
- Ability to organize and coordinate work.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
- Ability to engage in self‑evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others involved in the course of work.
- Often work indoors, moving between classrooms and other school areas.
- May work outdoors during physical education and recess.
- May be exposed to distracting noise levels.
- May encounter hitting, kicking, biting, and pushing by students, as well as objects thrown by students.
- Work near others, often within a few feet.
- Work-related tasks may be subject to deadlines and time constraints.
- Stand, sit, and walk unassisted and provide movement assistance to students as needed.
- Lower self to a seated position on the floor and move from seated to standing unassisted.
- Have normal visual acuity, with or without corrective lenses, and depth perception.
- May be a 10‑month hourly position or a 12‑month salaried position following the school year calendar, with additional half days for the Extended School Year.
- Primarily based out of Broad Brook Elementary School, hours 8:45 am to 3:45 pm.

- Salary dependent on experience: $31–$34 per hour.
