Professional Development & Infection Control Nurse (RN)

iCare Health Network is seeking a dynamic and experienced Professional Development & Infection Control Nurse (RN) to join our Fresh River Healthcare team.

• Full Time – Monday-Friday

• Develop and implement quality in-service education programs for staff as required.
• Evaluate impact of in-service programs and amend based on outcomes.
• Spend majority of time on nursing units to evaluate and correct nursing care as needed.
• Ensure compliance with CDC, OSHA, state and federal regulations.
• Coach employees on proper nursing practices and procedures.
• Make house rounds regularly and consult with RN Supervisor and Charge Nurses on education needs.
• Maintain educational programs aligned with regulations, policies and organizational goals.
• Provide a learning climate and facilitate adult learning processes.
• Assist adult learners in identifying learning needs and effective activities to meet clinical needs.
• Respond to clinical emergencies, regulatory visits, surveys outside normal hours; participate in on‑call rotation.
• Assist the DNS in ongoing training for nursing staff to support clinical services and exceed competency levels; monitor specialty unit training and certifications.

• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role in long‑term care, rehabilitation facility, hospital or equivalent nursing education program.
• Preferred 6 months of training experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• IV Certification required.
• Infection Control Certification preferred.
• Experience with state survey process, survey tag numbers, and quality measures preferred.
• Valid RN licensure.
