PSR are seeking experienced Fire Door Installers with a strong background in passive fire protection to handle compliant installations, maintenance, and remedial works across commercial and residential sites in the Eastbourne area.
Key Responsibilities- Compliant Installation: Install FD30 and FD60 fire doorsets, frames, and ironmongery strictly in line with manufacturer specifications and third-party test evidence.
- Gap and Seal Management: Maintain precise tolerances on door leaves, gaps (2-4mm), and correct fitting of intumescent strips and cold smoke seals.
- Remedial Works: Carry out defect corrections on existing doors following fire risk assessments and inspection reports.
- Proven track record in specialized fire door installation-this is a compliance-critical role, not general carpentry.
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent demonstrable site experience).
- Deep working knowledge of current UK fire door regulations, British Standards (e.g., BS 8214), and passive fire safety protocols.
- Manual Handling, Working Heights, Asbestos Awareness, CSCS Card.
- BM Trada, Firas Qualification
