School Monitor, Probationary Special Education Assignment Middle School

The Eastchester School District is seeking dynamic candidates for the probationary position of special education School Monitor. Ideal candidates are those who are energetic, flexible, patient and enjoy working with a secondary student. Duties to include supporting a student with attention and transitions. Requirements:
Ability to work effectively with school age children;
Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and staff;
Ability to take oral and written directives;
Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position; NYSED Fingerprint Clearance

10-month, probationary position

Hours:

7:20 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday Salary Range:
In accordance with the Eastchester School Monitors' Association (EMA) negotiated salary schedule, $19.79 - $25.73 per hour, step placement contingent upon prior relevant experience
* Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law:
Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law 305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES).
