Teaching Assistant, Probationary Waverly School
The Eastchester School District is seeking an experienced candidate to fill the probationary position of teaching assistant at the Waverly School. The role involves assisting a special education teacher to provide academic, social, and/or communication skills to students or groups of students who have learning, emotional, or physical disabilities in a K/1 self-contained classroom. Duties are performed under the direction of a special education teacher who is responsible for the design and implementation of educational programs and services.
Requirements:
- NYS certification:
Teaching Assistant - NYSED Fingerprint Clearance
Employment
Terms:
- 10-month, probationary position
- Base Salary range in accordance with the Eastchester Teachers' Association (ETA) negotiated salary schedule
