A well-established nonprofit organization is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its growing finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys nonprofit accounting, contract billing, and working closely with leadership in a collaborative, supportive environment. The previous Staff Accountant was recently promoted - strong growth potential!

Main Responsibilities:

+ Month-end close activities and general ledger analysis

+ Reconcile balance sheet and expense accounts

+ Prepare cost reimbursement billings and state/local contract billings

+ Process state contract vouchers

+ Assist with budgeting and financial reporting

+ Maintain lease accounting records

+ Evaluate and recommend process improvements within accounting systems

+ Support overall bookkeeping and financial accuracy

Requirements:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting strongly preferred

+ 1+ years of nonprofit, public accounting, or similar accounting experience

+ Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs required)

+  1+ years of nonprofit, public accounting, or similar accounting experience

+  Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs required)
