Position: Administrative Assistant to the Director of Facilities

Administrative Assistant To The Director Of Facilities

The Williston Northampton School, an independent coeducational boarding and day school located in Easthampton, MA, has a full-time, calendar-year opening for an Administrative Assistant to the Director of Facilities. The schedule for the position is Monday through Friday 40 hours per week. Occasional special event coverage as necessary. Actual hours assigned per the needs of the department.

The Assistant is an integral part of the Facilities team and is responsible for support and administrative oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Facilities Department. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, serve a central point of contact for the Facilities Department; assist with scheduling of routine, maintenance and projects; provide support and assistance to Facilities supervisors and staff;

serve as point of contact for all scheduling of campus facilities;
Provide details to Facilities staff relative to the proper set up for all special functions and events; oversee the Facilities Department Budget in conjunction with the Director of Facilities;
Coordinate interviews/new hires with the HR Office; routine office duties

The successful candidate must: have three to five years of administrative assistant experience preferably in an educational or non-profit setting; be able to work intuitively and independently as well as part of the Facilities team; have strong organizational skills for multi-tasking and prioritizing responsibilities as situations arise in fast paced environment; have the ability to understand written and oral instruction; have demonstrated written, interpersonal and communication skills in order to successfully interact with diverse staff, faculty, students and other constituents of the School;

possess proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word; be able to work in secondary boarding school atmosphere by successfully passing CORI, SORI and fingerprint based background checks; possess a valid driver's license.
