Overview
The Williston Northampton School, an independent coeducational boarding and day school in Easthampton, MA, has a full-time, calendar-year opening for a Human Resources Coordinator and Administrative Assistant to the CFO. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, with occasional special event coverage as necessary.
Responsibilities – HR OfficeSupport for the HR Office will include: assisting the HR Director with the operations of the office, assist with campus hiring, create monthly all-employee newsletter, maintain content on the employee portal, manage the company employee directory, organize annual boundary training, maintain employee personnel files, prepare workers’ compensation, answer the school’s main line, and handle daily incoming/outgoing mail. Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities– CFO Office
Support for the CFO will include: providing poised administrative support to the CFO, schedule meetings as requested, serve as point of contact for the Office of the CFO, act as liaison between the CFO and other departments on campus, organize Board of Trustee subcommittee meetings; attend Board of Trustees meetings and take minutes, maintain filing system for the Business Office. Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsThe successful candidate must have four to six years of human resources/administrative assistant experience, preferably in an educational or non-profit setting; be able to work intuitively and independently as well as part of the Business Office team; have strong organizational skills for multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment; have the ability to understand written and oral instruction; have demonstrated written, interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse staff, faculty, students and other constituents of the School;
possess proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word; be able to work in a secondary boarding school atmosphere by successfully passing CORI, SORI and fingerprint-based background checks; possess a valid driver’s license. A complete job description is available on our website.
