NEARI is a twelve‑month day school for learning disabled, emotionally disturbed, neurologically challenged and mental health students ages 7‑22.
NEARI seeks teachers in Special Education with subject‑area experience or additional licensure in Science to work in its high‑school program. Creative lesson planning, strong classroom management, and the ability to provide a structured environment are essential. NEARI places a premium on relationship capacity and looks for staff with strong relational skills, warmth, engagement and firm limits. NEARI has a strong brain‑based approach to learning and behavior management and the successful candidate should be open to learning about this very exciting methodology.
