Substitute Teaching Assistant (Grades K-8)

Hilltown Cooperative Charter Public School is seeking caring, flexible substitutes to support our K-8 classrooms. At Hilltown, substitutes typically work alongside a Teaching Assistant or Lead Teacher, helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment while supporting students individually, in small groups, or with the whole class as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Successful completion of a CORI/background check
• Experience working with children is preferred

• Support classroom instruction under the direction of primary classroom staff
• Assist students with academic, social, and behavioral needs
• Supervise students during classroom activities and other assigned times
• Help maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
• Follow lesson plans and school procedures when covering classrooms
• Supervise recess and lunch as assigned
