Position Summary

We are seeking a mission-driven, relational individual with a growth mindset to join our Intergenerational Support Team. The Program Director will provide clinical supervision to the team, which consists of two social workers who meet the known and emerging needs of members of the Treehouse community, a volunteer coordinator, and an intergenerational arts specialist. Additionally, the Program Director will develop trauma-informed programming that is responsive to known and emerging needs within our community, which includes families parenting children who have experienced foster care and/or adoption, biological children, and older adults.

The right candidate takes joy in collaboratively supporting teaming, innovation, and creative and trauma-informed approaches to social work. Our intergenerational model is dependent on the strength of relationships existing across the community and with staff. This role is supervised by the Chief Executive Officer. In addition, the Program Director will collaborate across the organization with Treehouse community members and relevant staff members.

Organization

Summary

For 20 years, Treehouse has worked to transform child welfare. The Treehouse Foundation drives innovation on a local, state, and national level to create positive outcomes for children and youth in foster care. Treehouse’s award winning vision is that every child is rooted in family and community. The Treehouse Foundation is at an exciting juncture of growth. The primary focus of our collaborative social change efforts is the Treehouse Intergenerational Community model — the first intentional neighborhood was established in Easthampton, MA in 2006, with new sites in Boston, Worcester, and Framingham in development.

Treehouse communities are intentional, affordable, highly relational neighborhoods designed to support families parenting children who have experienced foster care and older adults who form a mutual support network. We are known for innovation in foster care, vital aging, intergenerational connection, and affordable housing.
