Full Time Maintenance Tech in Senior Living
Lathrop Community is looking for a full-time maintenance professional to round out our facilities team! The facilities department at Lathrop is responsible for maintaining the building and grounds of both the Easthampton and Northampton campuses. This fully benefitted, 40-hour non-exempt position is a key part of the resident experience, the facilities staff is primarily responsible for the physical campuses on which our residents live.
We are offering a compensation $22 hourly, and our benefits include Blue Cross Medical, dental insurance, vision, long term disability insurance, and 403(b) retirement fund enrollment with employer matching.
All departments of Lathrop Community are part of the resident experience, and therefore comfort with working with an aging population is a must.
Must have basic working knowledge of related trades-crafts (plumbing, carpentry, electricity) and have interior and exterior painting skills. Must be capable of operating power tools in a safe & proper manner. Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to our insurance company. You will be required to work on both Easthampton and Northampton campuses. Must be able to work alongside of other trades people;
carpenter, electrician, plumber. Ability to climb, walk long distances, lift, push, pull, and carry weights from 60 pounds up to and in excess of 125 lbs.
Exposure to mechanical equipment in potentially dangerous situations and the usual risks involved with using ladders, working at high elevations, dust and handling of job-related materials and supplies. Exposure to extreme outside temperatures, sun exposure, frostbite. On call and overtime flexibility as needed is required.
Qualifications Skills- Basic working knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electricity, interior and exterior painting skills.
- Capable of operating power tools safely and properly.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work across Easthampton and Northampton campuses.
- Ability to work alongside other tradespeople (carpenter, electrician, plumber).
- Physical ability to climb, walk long distances, lift, push, pull, and carry weights from 60 lbs. up to and in excess of 125 lbs.
