The HVAC Technician I is an entry level position who assists with inspecting and maintaining all HVAC equipment and systems in the facility, by furnishing the HVAC technicians with tools, materials, and supplies. They should have a strong working knowledge of HVAC systems as well as the tools related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of these systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Follow instructions and provide the necessary support to senior technicians
- Participate in routine inspections of buildings and equipment, and learn how to identify and diagnose issues
- Submit and complete work orders accurately and effectively
- Assist with preventive maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime and complete emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
- Assist with installation, maintenance and repair of ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools needed for HVAC installation
- Keep logs and records of all maintenance functions
- Ensure all tools, materials, and equipment are properly stored and in good working order
- Accommodate a flexible schedule and respond to issues or problems rapidly
- Complete assigned tasks within the established time frames and specifications
- Compliant with Company SOPs, and state and federal regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored
- Follow applicable safety procedures by wearing appropriate PPE, and reporting injuries, near misses, and hazards to management
- Behave in a manner that is positive, productive, cooperative, and encourages teamwork
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or GED required
- 0-1 years of working experience in HVAC field
- Familiarity with all tools and equipment necessary for HVAC maintenance and installation
- Understanding electrical, HVAC, plumbing and carpentry
- Adaptable, proactive, and willing to work weekends and extended hours as needed
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with state regulations

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks for extended periods of time (8+ hours)
- Ability to lift/push/carry items up to 50lbs
- Ability to climb a ladder, kneel, stoop, and bend at the waist regularly
- Manual dexterity for handling tools and performing equipment maintenance.
- Visual acuity is needed to accurately read small screens and fine print
Workplace Environment
- Indoor and outdoor maintenance settings, with exposure to mechanical parts and seasonal temperature changes
- Exposure to high places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and loud noises
- Consistent moderate background noise level due to machinery and HVAC
- Exposure to cannabis odor and plant resins (PPE provided)
- Moderate heat and humidity in controlled grow environments
- Exposure to skin contact with plant resins, to which some individuals may be allergic (PPE provided)

Pay Range: $24.00 - $30.19
