Northeast Center for Youth & Families, Inc. (NCYF) is made up of a team of devoted and highly skilled professionals and paraprofessionals who provide quality care to the individuals we serve. Our agency is led by a passionate and involved leadership team based out of our Easthampton main office. NCYF opened its doors in 1972 and became incorporated in 1976. We’re an experienced agency with multiple locations which provide foster care services, in home therapy, outpatient therapy, treatment residences, and therapeutic day programs.

Foster Home Resource Specialist
We seek a Foster Home Resource Specialist to recruit, screen, evaluate, and certify foster homes for consideration for our Easthampton area office. This individual will prepare applicants of the expectations and responsibilities of foster/adoptive parents as set forth in State, City, and Agency regulations, conduct in-depth interviews with household members regarding parenting capacities and personal background, and collect written collateral data such as employment and personal references.
Other responsibilities include outreach recruitment efforts, maintaining effective collaborative relationships with other foster youth serving agencies, and coordinating with case managers, clinicians and other staff regarding placement decisions. The position requires on‑call duties as needed.
Foster Care Resource Specialist, $24.00 per hour
Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree; licensed (LCSW, LSW or LSWA) or license‑eligible.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications and licenses, including but not limited to CPR/First Aid.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general accounting and business periodicals, professional journals and reports, technical procedures and government regulations.
- Knowledgeable about office programs, e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, accounting programs, payroll systems and the like.
- Ability to reason and solve practical problems, deal with variety of concrete variables and interpret instructions furnished in various formats.

- Play an essential role in ensuring that our foster homes are meeting quality standards
- Assist in opening new homes which provide a safe space for DCF and DYS involved children
- Provide weekly supervision to case managers and resource specialists in the front lines
