Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging instruction in fire and EMS courses
  • Develop curriculum aligned to workforce needs, state standards, and student interests
  • Collaborate with an institute of higher education to serve as a College Credit Plus (CCP) instructor
  • Build and maintain strong industry partnerships
  • Establish and facilitate a Program Advisory Committee
  • Work closely with school and district staff to ensure a high-quality, future-ready program

  • Medical Terminology (Subject Code: 072150)
  • Emergency Medical Technician (Subject Code: 170345)
  • Firefighter I (Subject Code: 170343)
  • Firefighter II (Subject Code: 170344)
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of documented, relevant industry experience (CTE requirement)
  • At least 5 years of documented teaching experience in both Fire and EMS instruction
  • Willingness to work with an institute of higher education to become a CCP instructor
  • Appropriate teaching license or the ability to obtain one through the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce Development
