TITLE:

NDT Lead

REPORTS TO:

NDT Supervisor

Responsible for running and prioritizing all department (WIP) for X-ray, ultrasonic wall, and CMM operations, performing reform operations on all routed patterns, maintaining logs, and notifying supervision and engineering of issues.

• Follows the customer work instructions to run X-ray and wall inspections with the proper settings and equipment
• Understand risks and proper procedures associated with working around radiation
• Will accurately record inspection results in the appropriate log and location
• Have the ability to set up and operate CMM equipment and Laser Inspection.
• Will have the ability to communicate disposition files for engineering review for non-conforming product
• Will meet the designated rates for production and accurately fill production time sheets
• Will accurately monitor results of inspections to maintain product flow and identify issues
• Will notify supervision of issues with product failure
• Follow all safety and 6-S guidelines for the area
• Will work with supervisor to assign job tasks and associate responsibilities for the day

• Must be detail and safety oriented
• Must possess or be trained in basic computer skills (Microsoft excel, word, outlook, etc)
• Physical ability to move up to 35 pounds
• An understanding of the English language is necessary
• Ability to effectively communicate with supervision as necessary
• Be able to informally lead a team to achieve desired results
