TITLE:
NDT Lead
REPORTS TO:
NDT Supervisor
Responsible for running and prioritizing all department (WIP) for X-ray, ultrasonic wall, and CMM operations, performing reform operations on all routed patterns, maintaining logs, and notifying supervision and engineering of issues.
Responsibilities- Follows the customer work instructions to run X-ray and wall inspections with the proper settings and equipment
- Understand risks and proper procedures associated with working around radiation
- Will accurately record inspection results in the appropriate log and location
- Have the ability to set up and operate CMM equipment and Laser Inspection.
- Will have the ability to communicate disposition files for engineering review for non-conforming product
- Will meet the designated rates for production and accurately fill production time sheets
- Will accurately monitor results of inspections to maintain product flow and identify issues
- Will notify supervision of issues with product failure
- Follow all safety and 6-S guidelines for the area
- Will work with supervisor to assign job tasks and associate responsibilities for the day
- Must be detail and safety oriented
- Must possess or be trained in basic computer skills (Microsoft excel, word, outlook, etc)
- Physical ability to move up to 35 pounds
- An understanding of the English language is necessary
- Ability to effectively communicate with supervision as necessary
- Be able to informally lead a team to achieve desired results
