Consolidated Precision Products is seeking a Section Manager to lead a production area in our advanced aerospace manufacturing environment. In this role, you will manage daily operations for a section producing complex castings and precision machined components, ensuring strict adherence to safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals. You will plan resources, drive lean and continuous improvement initiatives, and use data to resolve production and quality issues.
Working closely with engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain, you will support new product introductions and cross-plant projects while coaching and developing a high-performing team.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations for an aerospace manufacturing section to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
- Plan and allocate labor, equipment, and materials to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
- Implement and sustain 5
- S, lean, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize throughput and reduce waste.
- Monitor KPIs, analyze production data, and drive corrective actions for process and quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with all EHS, quality, and regulatory standards and champion a strong safety culture.
- Coach, mentor, and performance-manage section employees; support training and skills development.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain on new product introductions and process changes.
- Support root cause analysis, CAPA, and problem-solving for defects, scrap, and rework.
- Participate in cross-plant improvement projects and standardization of best practices.
- Prepare reports and communicate section performance and priorities to plant leadership.
