Eastleigh (covering South Region)
Salary: £26 per hour + additional earnings through on‑call rota and overtime
Hours:
40 hours per week

Temporary with Permanent Opportunity, Full Time
We are looking for a qualified Electrician to join our Responsive Repairs Team. You will play a key role in delivering responsive and emergency electrical repairs across the South region.
Typical tasks will include:
- Replacing damaged electrical accessories
- Electrical fault diagnosis and repair
- Partial rewires
- Distribution board upgrades
- Electrical maintenance and installations within residential properties
You will primarily work across the Bournemouth, Poole, Southampton, Portsmouth, Petersfield, Bordon and Guildford areas.
Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, so providing excellent workmanship and outstanding customer service is essential. You will act as an ambassador for the company when working in customers' homes.
Key Responsibilities- Complete electrical repairs and installations safely and efficiently
- Deliver a first‑time fix wherever possible
- Diagnose faults across electrical circuits and heating systems
- Maintain excellent customer service standards
- Work independently while managing your workload effectively
You will participate in an on‑call rota approximately once every six weeks, running Thursday to Thursday.
This includes:
- Standby allowance
- Additional payment for each completed call‑out
- Payments on top of your basic salary
Essential:
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification
- Completed AM2
- City & Guilds qualifications such as: 2360 Parts 1 & 2, (Apply online only) Levels 2 & 3, or approved equivalent
- Practical experience working in accordance with BS 7671
- Experience in inspection, testing and commissioning of installations
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong fault‑finding skills
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Good IT skills
Desirable:
- City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent
- City & Guilds 2394 / 2395 (inspection and testing)
- Experience working in social housing
- Experience with NICEIC certification or similar systems

You will be expected to supply your own hand and power tools.
