Federal Program Administrative Assistant
Department: BOE
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma/GED or higher education
- Experience preferred but not required
- Federal Programs:
Title I, Part A, Title I, Part C & Title III - Compile data from a variety of sources (e.g., budget reports, specialized reports, grants) for compliance with financial, legal and/or administrative requirements.
- Compose documents for assigned area (e.g., project status reports, surveys, letters, public notices) to document events and provide or request information.
- Coordinate a variety of programs and activities (e.g., distribution of materials, conference and travel arrangements) to deliver services in compliance with established guidelines.
- Maintain a wide variety of documents, files and records (e.g., purchase orders, invoices, Title programs) to provide a current audit trail.
- Order equipment, supplies and materials to maintain availability of required items.
- Maintain inventories of supplies, equipment and materials for compliance with local, state and Federal guidelines.
- Prepare a wide variety of reports and materials (e.g., budgets, purchase orders, correspondence, charts, handbooks) to document activities and convey information.
- Communicate with administrators, teachers, staff, etc., in person, by telephone, email or letter to provide information on departmental functions.
- Process a variety of documents and materials to disseminate information in compliance with program, district, state and/or federal requirements.
- Submit reports and forms to the GaDOE to meet state and/or federal guidelines.
- Research a variety of topics (e.g., current practices, procedures and policies) to provide information for addressing administrative requirements.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, seminars and conferences as assigned to convey and/or gather required information.
- Order nursing and technology supplies & materials to maintain availability of required items.
- Reconcile account balances for Payroll, General and Georgia 1 bank accounts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
