Family Pastor of Children and Youth

Under the supervision of the Senior Pastor, this bi‑vocational position will minister directly to our Youth Group: grades 6‑12. However, it will also include planning and leading a comprehensive ministry plan for all children, birth to 12th grade. This role works closely with the Senior Pastor and church leadership to strengthen youth and children’s ministry and equip the congregation for family discipleship.

• Oversee and provide leadership to all children’s and youth activities, such as nursery, children’s church, Awana clubs, Wednesday‑night activities, VBS, etc.
• Recruit, select, and train volunteers for upcoming children/youth programs and activities
• Organise and plan Bible studies, devotions, and events to encourage spiritual growth within the church and engage local youth in our area
• Teach Sunday School, Awana Club, and Wednesday‑night Bible study for grades 6‑12
• Plan, coordinate, and attend overnight trips for children and youth, such as summer camps

• Personal salvation experience with a strong desire to share the gospel with children, youth, and families
• Evidence of a strong and growing relationship with Christ
• Understanding and adherence to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
• Agreement with the doctrine, mission, and values of Antioch Baptist Church #1
• Current & active membership in a church of like faith and practice with willingness to transfer membership to ABC #1
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Approachable and engaging, gifted in building relationships with people of all ages
