Eastman - Forklift Truck Driver

Your Mission

• Ability to efficiently assist in the operation of lift trucks.
• Performs housekeeping duties in the work area, including sweeping, mopping, picking up, forklift truck cleaning, and disposing of trash.
• Collaborate and communicate with all levels of employees and management.
• Safely move material to and from storage, machines, and finished goods areas.
• Operate forklift to transport materials to and from storage areas, workstations, and within other areas of assignment.
• Load, transport, unload, and stack materials in accordance with established procedures.
• Communicate non‑compliance and/or quality problems to supervisor.
• Read and understand material labels and work orders.
• Comply with safety rules and requirements.
• Comply with forklift training guidelines.

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Work schedules normally 8 or 12 hours, with rotating days off.
• Must be able to work any scheduled times, including overnight and weekend shifts.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, including extra hours on short notice.
• Standing for extended periods, awkward/repetitive movements, climbing ladders and/or stairways.
• Must lift up to 35 lbs. repeatedly and up to 50 lbs. frequently for up to 12 hours.
• Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
• Use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment.
• Work in areas of fluctuating temperature.
• Required to wear personal protective equipment (steel toe shoes, earplugs, safety glasses, hairnet, beard net if applicable).
• Ability to use hand truck, drum dolly, and electric pallet jack as needed.
• Regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
